Hiring in Egypt: Overview
Global Kinect runs Egypt payroll on one engine — progressive income tax per tranche, social insurance on the contributory wage under the Law 148/2019 framework, and end-of-service per the Labour Law. For employers consolidating Egyptian payroll off a fragmented process, Bureau gives you one submission in and one pack out, with the brackets and contributory caps held centrally so a regulator change is absorbed into the engine rather than carried by your finance team. Bureau and Bureau plus HRIS are live across Egypt today; Managed is planned as entity coverage extends. Non-Saudi MENA data is hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in Abu Dhabi.

Employment law & employer costs
Egyptian income tax is progressive, calculated per tranche on the current schedule. The engine holds the brackets centrally so a regulator change is absorbed in days, not carried by your finance team.
Social insurance is applied against the contributory wage under the Law 148/2019 framework, with the relevant caps and floors per employee category.
End-of-service is handled per the Labour Law and accrued as a continuous liability, settled at exit.
A thirteenth-month payment is customary in many Egyptian engagements — we accrue it monthly where it applies so it is visible from cycle one rather than landing as a year-end surprise.
Bureau and Bureau plus HRIS are live across Egypt today. Managed is planned as entity coverage extends; foreign nationals require work permits, handled where in scope.
