Immigration Support
Visa sponsorship, work permit coordination, and immigration compliance for international employees across the UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia and other markets.
Can you sponsor work visas without me having a local entity? Yes. Global Kinect handles visa sponsorship and work permit coordination across 11 MENA countries, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The scope depends on the country — we confirm what is covered in your proposal.
Overview
When hiring across borders, immigration compliance is often the critical path — it determines whether your employee can legally start work, and delays here delay everything. Global Kinect coordinates the full immigration process: requirements assessment, document preparation, application submission, status tracking, and renewals. In countries where we operate as EOR, we sponsor visas and work permits directly through our local entities.
What's included
How immigration support works
The immigration process varies by country but follows a consistent framework: first, we assess requirements based on the country, role type, employee nationality, and duration. Then we produce a document checklist specific to that scenario. Once documents are collected and verified, we prepare and submit applications. Throughout the process, you receive milestone updates and estimated timelines. After approval, we manage the arrival process (biometrics, medical tests, ID registration) and set up renewal tracking so permits don't lapse.
Visa sponsorship through EOR
In countries where we operate as Employer of Record — including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Türkiye — we sponsor visas and work permits directly through our licensed local entities. This means you don't need your own entity to sponsor a visa. The EOR entity is the legal sponsor, and we handle the full lifecycle: application, approval, issuance, and renewal. This is particularly valuable in the Gulf states where every employment relationship requires visa sponsorship.
Timelines by region
Immigration timelines vary significantly by region and complexity. Gulf states (UAE, KSA, Qatar): 2–6 weeks depending on nationality and medical clearance. Europe (Germany, France, Netherlands): 4–12 weeks for non-EU nationals, with Blue Card or national work permit routes. APAC (Singapore, India): 2–8 weeks depending on pass type and quota availability. These are typical timelines — complex cases (restricted nationalities, senior roles requiring extra approvals) may take longer. We provide realistic timeline estimates at the start of each case.
Why immigration goes wrong with most providers
Immigration is where the gap between a platform and a service becomes most visible. Self-serve platforms can show you a checklist, but they can not sponsor a visa, chase a delayed government approval, or rebook a medical appointment when the clinic is fully booked. In the Gulf states, immigration is inseparable from employment — every hire needs a visa, every visa needs a sponsor, and every sponsor needs a licensed entity with a healthy Nitaqat or quota status. Global Kinect sponsors directly through our own local entities. We track every application, escalate delays, and coordinate arrival logistics (medicals, biometrics, Emirates ID, Iqama issuance) as part of the standard engagement — not as a bolt-on with a separate fee and separate team.
